Soul Calibur 4
Soul Calibur 4 is obviously the fourth game in the 'Soul Calibur' series and was released on the 1st of August 2008. The newest Soul Calibur was just released this year so you could get that if you want to. The game is a 1v1 fighter game and if I had to describe it, I would say it's a bit like 'Street Fighter' except better graphics and it has magic and weapons. The game has very good create-a-character mode, which makes it really fun as you can customize your character to what you like. The game is great for two people, So you can challenge your friend and battle your customizable characters. Another cool thing can get in this game (This may not be in Soul Calibur 5) is Star Wars characters. They vary on each console this game is available for, people who have a Playstation 3 get Darth Vader and The Apprentice, whereas Xbox360 players will get Yoda, which is pretty damn cool in my opinion. So whats this game worth rating wise, it has great graphics, a short story mode, an arcade mode and a free-play mode, it's worth atleast an 8.4/10. I'd imagine Soul Calibur 5 would be even better.
Motor Storm Pacific Rift
Motor Storm Pacific Rift was realeased on the 28th of October 2008 and it has changed the world of virtual racing. If you're not into the 'First Person Shooter' games then I think you should get this (it's really cheap too). This game is not the most popular game, the majority of people probably havn't even heard of the series, but it is still a great racing game for all ages. I personally like the Arcade mode in it, and instead of just your regular 3 lap race, you can play elimination and try to be the last car standing. Motor Storm has brilliant, realistic graphics and the environments are pretty real too. there are a variety of vehicles to use and unlock so you don't get board in your regular rally car. This game and the rest of the Motor Storm franchise change racing games forever, so for a racing game, I give it 9/10, if it's competing against other games I'd give it 7.5/10 because it is quite hard in the story mode.
Call of Duty 4 MW3
Call of Duty MW3 was released on 8th of November, 2011 and has become a massive hit in the world of gaming. The game is brilliant but does have some problems that cannot be fixed. The maps are one of these problems, they are completely different to the maps you've seen on Call of Duty MW2, the maps are really small with lots of buildings, not that "out in the open" you would of seen in previous games. if you are new to to Call of Duty series it will seem hard at first, but MW3 has a new addition to killstreaks. Killstreaks are now known as pointstreaks, so now if you capture a flag in games like domination you will get 1 point for your pointstreak to go along with your kills. If that's not good enough for you then you will be happy to know that they have added a strike package called 'Support'. With the Support strike package your pointstreak will persist through death. which means you can die as much as you want. the support strike package does not tend to be as fun as getting some cool controllable aircraft as it tends to help your team. Apart from the maps the game is fantastic and I would strongly recommend it. I give it 8/10.
Fifa 12
Fifa 12 was released on the 30th of September 2011 and is another great addition to the hit soccer series. The is probably known as the best soccer game in history so far, with it's beast graphics and realistic details on players, environments and crowds. the game is created by EA sports and can be played on various consoles, such as the Xbox 360 and the Ipod Touch/Iphone. the game features pretty much every proffesional soccer league in the world, so now you can play with your favourite teams. The game would have to be at the top of the leaderboards for sports games, it's really that good. So if you're looking for a soccer game then get this, but if you don't have enough money, you can buy one of the earlier Fifa games instead like Fifa 11 and Fifa 10. Overall Fifa 12 is a great game for soccer lovers or just sport lovers in general. I'll give it 8.5/10.
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time was released on November the 5th 2009. The Game continues off from the spin-off story Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty, but i do not suggest getting it as it is very short and could be completed after an hour or so.
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is perfect for kids aged 5 to 10 but can still be enjoyed for kids older or younger than that little five year group. The game is a futuristic type game with loads of awesome looking weapons for our old lombax friend, Ratchet. Recently the two got split apart and Ratchet is off to find the Great Clock where clank is living and running for his father who is a little space creature called a Zoni. During the game you will see good old Dr Nefarious who is the mastermind of the whole story. In conclusion the game is enjoyable, more so for the younger people of our community but I'll give it a 7/10.
